The overnight bus from Arequipa was forever. 15 hours long is way too long to be on a bus. I watched My name is Khan, it is an Indian movie. I liked it, but it was really sad. Then I went to bed and woke up at 7:30 am. =P I couldn't fall back asleep, so I watched Sherlock Holmes the first one and part of the vow. Finally we made it to Lima! The sky was super cloudy but it was WAY warmer than in Cusco. We got transported to another bus that took us to our hotel. The hotel was pretty nice. We only had a couple of hours to get food and get ready, so instead we just went to get food. Yes, I know, we stunk. We went to eat at this dainty cafe and Nikita and I split steamed vegetables and spinach ravioli. SO GOOD. Then we got Froyo! I love it, I put so many toppings on it. =] We ran back to the hotel and got ready for a tour of Lima. The first place we stopped at was parque de amor at the beach. It was really nice with cute quotes on mosaics all around. I wish it was sunnier though. Nikita got sick and went back to the hotel. Poor girl. The tour wasn't that great, I was kind of bored and accidentally kept falling asleep. Big time whoops since I was sitting directly in front of the guide. haha We got down at the Plaza de armas and looked at the outside of the presidents house which Beth got sick right outside of and then went inside of the Cathedral of Lima. The outside of the Cathedral was kind of grey, but the inside was nice with a lot of mosaics. We ended up going to another church and went into some catacombs, I got to see a bunch of skeletons! Skulls, pelvis bones, femurs, etc. Crazy stuff, it was really stuffy down there. Afterwards we went back to the hotel. Catherine, Abbie, Beth, Nikita, and I ended up going out and eating some tapas at a nice restaurant. I also got a huge piece of chocolate cake! =] Afterwards we started the night off with a Japanese bar and TEQUILA SHOTS! It was everyone elses first time. It was so cute. haha I got a passion fruit margarita afterwards. It was delicious! So good. Then we went into an Irish bar which forgot to give Nikita her drink, so we left. Looking around for a while we ended up going up some stairs into a dancing bar. There was lots of fog, sleazy guys, and STRONG drinks. I got a cosmo for the first time and it was WAY too strong and did not taste good. All of a sudden our PROFESSOR and Eddie came in! Yeah... Beth did not want to dance in front of him again. He creepily came over to us and said "It's OK, we already saw you." So weird. We left and tried to find somewhere else to go. After an empty bar, some dancing in a club, and going into a karaoke bar without singing since we didn't want to buy drinks, we ended up going home. We hung out in Abbie and Cathrine's room for a while until we all decided it was time for bed. Nikita and I were super goofy and passed out when we got into the room. In the morning we had to go on another tour. This time it was on some archaeological ruins in Lima. It was a sacred place where women were kept and taught how to be "perfect" and given away as presents to important people. Awkward. Then we went to the top of a temple and looked at some islands. Then we went back to the hotel. Abbie, Catherine, Beth, Neha, Nikita, and I went out for lunch. I got a veggie sandwich with MUSTARD, I missed mustard. It was really good. We went and got pinkberry after, I wanted more toppings. Then Beth, Nikita, and I went around fixing their money problems and buy some last minute things. Then we ran back to met up with the girls for our last dinner. It was Catherine, Abbie, Sarah, Beth, Nikita, and I. We went to this super fancy restaurant by the coast. You could hear the ocean while we were eating, it was fabulous. I got a veggie lasagna, so good. I wanted to get a fancy dessert, too, but we were running late and I was also really full. We took a cab back and threw all of our stuff together. Finally we got on the bus that took us to the airport, time to go home.

Arequipa
Last night we took an overnight bus from Cusco to Arequipa. There was wifi on the bus which was pretty cool, too bad it wasn't working too well. Nikita and I ended up watching the movie, easy A. Then I tried to go to sleep. I could not for the life of me find a comfortable position. It was rather annoying. We finally arrived to Arequipa, though. We have a hotel for the day, breakfast included. I ate a huge breakfast and then took a quick shower, after that bus ride I needed it, if you know what I mean. Haha Then we went out on the town. Nikita, Neha, Sindu, Sarah, beth, Abbie, Catherine and I left to the plaza de armas, apparently that just means city center there was one in Cusco, too. We feed some pigeons and they started to sit on my shoulder even when I didn't have food in my hands. I felt like a pirate. Haha then we went into the main cathedral of Arequipa. It was really nice inside, very European. The whole city is was more European than Cusco. We toured the inside with a guide and went into the museum part. I got to take pictures of inside the church but not the museum, the museum had all the gold and silver stuff. We also got to go on the top of the roof and look at all of Arequipa. Afterwards we decided to go out for lunch. A couple of the girls decided to go somewhere more expensive than I wanted. Sindu, Neha and I decided to go walk around and look at another cathedral. We didn't go inside though since we had to pay. We ended up eating at a nice sandwich shop. All of us met back up after eating and went to a gelato place. I got both caramel and mint chocolate. We walked back to the hotel and hung out for a while. Now we have to get ready to get on our overnight bus to Lima. This one will take 15 hours, going to die.
