The past three days I haven't really done much. I worked on two documentaries and a powerpoint. I will post the documentaries on here at some point, they aren't saved to my computer. For our next powerpoint Nikita and I had to explore a specific street in Cusco and asked tourists and peruvians how they feel about cultural patrimony. The use of the peruvian culture to attract tourists. It was pretty interesting to see the two sides. The peruvians see it as a good thing, it is their livelihood, the toursits feel a little uncomfortable with it and wonder if the indigenous people dress like they do just to get tourists to take pictures with them and pay them money. A peruvian lady told is it was also to share their culture with the rest of the world, too. We went to this really quaint cafe and had cupcakes with some girls from Denmark. They were nice and allowed us to interview them for our project. I have eaten a lot of cake and pastries. Today I bought some stuff for my friends and myself. I got myself some gloves, a sweater, headband, and purse. Exciting I know. haha Now I am packing up and getting ready for the weekend! After I come back from staying with the indigenous family I will only have one more night in Cusco. Crazy right? Well at least I think so. Then we are going to Arequipa and Lima!
