¡Mi casa!

This is the living room, the front door is to the right.

When you first walk in this is what you see. Mateas told me "los cabellos estan luchando." He is 7 years old and super smart!

From the picture of the living room this is if you turned around. It is the formal dinning room that is not used except to display fruit and some sort of shrine to bring good fortune. Also that glass is the door to a balcony.

These stairs go up to the bedrooms.

This is the view from the balcony!

Another view from the balcony, the buildings remind me a lot of Colombia.

When you walk forward and turn to the left from the formal dinning room is the kitchen and breakfast nook. This is where all the meals are eaten. The kitchen is cute!

This is the breakfast nook! Mami would love it, sun and food. =]

Another part of the kitchen if you turned to the left instead of the right. There is another door to enter over in the corner.

This is my bedroom! I share it with Nikita. My bed is the one on the right.

I have the dresser and side table along with my bed.

This is the view from the roof of the house. This is where they do laundry and the kids play some games.

More view from the roof.

Mateas, Valeria, and Rafeal, the 3 nietos, playing chess on the roof. Valeria, 8, and Rafael, 4, are brother and sister.

More view from the roof.

Yesterday after I left the cafe. We went home and hung out with Carola, Valeria, and Mateas. Mateas and Valeria asked a thousand questions about Disney World. It was so cute. After eating pizza with them for dinner, Nikita and I went to the room and tried to do some studying, but instead we had girl talk time. She is super nice. We went to bed early since we had to wake up early for classes. In the morning we had toast with strawberry jelly and banana mixed with milk drink. We went in a taxi to centro tinku, we will have to do this everyday from now on. We learned what was going to happen in the program and some phrases in quechua, the native language. We got to walk around a market for a little while. Then Nikita and I went home for lunch. Lentils and tamales. A lot better than beef. My stomach hated me yesterday. I ate a thousand pepto tablets last night. I have a headache that will not go away. The altitude is killing me. Haha I am out of breath just by walking up stairs. I feel so old. Hopefully it will get better in the next few days. I am exhausted all the time. Oh well, today we are going to the plaza de armas and doing a tour. I will take pictures so you guys can see. Some kids in my group want to go to some discotechs and bars tonight, we will see how that goes. Hasta Luego!
